Brian Stetler (<30 writer for the New York Times) has an interesting write-up that caught our eye on the youth, how we share news information, and its effect on politics.
Jeff Jarvis in his post of the article zeroed in on the same quote I loved so much:
“If the news is that important, it will find me.”
It’s true. It’s hard out there for a content pimp though, look at how much we have to sort through. Thankfully we have our friends to ensure that the most important bits don’t slip through the cracks while we are reading about spray on solar-energy-recovering paint.
What this means for the election, we’ll have to wait and see. Initial data seems promising though I thought the kids were going to do it 4 years ago, perhaps we are better poised this go around. If this is what it takes to blast voter apathy than cool, here’s another link for you to consider.
