Will Rutland (<30 lawyer turned idea connector) is building Ephemera (www.ephemerasite.com) around the idea of creative confluence…This site will sit at the intersection of various creative media in hopes that the work there will inspire & bring that ‘new new for you you’.
Some of you jaded creative boos might say that the number of social networks in the creative community is too abundant. But that’s not what the Internets is about, kids! We New Yorkers tend to become a little ‘information saturated’ at times & forget that there are creative folk all over the world in need of some ‘idea fertilizer.’ Any stigmas out there interested in cross pollination…post in the comments section to request Will’s information & have your work featured at launch.
Will’s intention:
My hope is that bringing together individuals exploring various media will set up an amplification effect that fosters collaboration or, at the very least, inspiration (no doubt admiration, commendation, confederation, and a number of other nominalized verbs will follow). To that end, the site will feature areas devoted to poetry, prose, visual art, photography, music, animation/video, social commentary/cartooning, and the culinary arts.
