Barack’n'Roll Mang — By Michael French

I’ve seen versions of this pic all over the place today, but I took this one with my own camera phone, which makes me feel cool. Barack out with your cock out if you vote blue, read it and weep you old GOP wankers:
In the name of good sport and in response to Caroline Huddleston’s “White House Blessings,” published right here on IWRI last night after the big projection dropped, I would like to say a few words on behalf of my liberal sympathies and Barack’s fucking TRE-MEN-DOUS victory over that old cooter-sniffing son of a bitch John McCain. Here we goooo…
MY hope for America is that Obama lives up to his own words and fully embodies all that is described in the following passage from John Adams’ letter to Abi-Two-Times from the White House on April 2nd, 1800: “I pray to heaven to bestow the best of blessings on this house and all that shall hereafter inhabit it. May none but honest and wise men ever rule under this roof.”
Awesome quote. I agree. Unfortunately, for at least the last 28 years, such has not been the case.
For the last 8 years, I’ve enjoyed picking on Bush for several reasons, most notably:
-He’s a fucking moron, and fucking morons should not be leaders of the free world. Neither should dudes sporting 2nd grade reading levels.
-He chased down the wrong Arab. Way to botch that one, you old hillbilly cokehead.
-He made the rich even richer, lining the pockets of even bigger assholes than himself.
-He had Satanic Humpty Dumpty as a Veep. I mean, Cheney doesn’t support his own daughter’s right to live like “normal” people b/c she’s a lesbian. Cool bro. Satan. Bad. He’s gonna rot in hell for all eternity, if you believe in that sort of thing.
We lambasted the cocksucker because he was an AWFUL choice. Some rich kid with connections, that’s it. He wasn’t qualified, wasn’t equipped, didn’t have the wherewithal to not be a complete dipshit, but the GOP loved him because he represented the ugliness that now rests in the roots of the Republican party and in the hearts of every bitter, stupid, racist skinbag out there.
A lot of us stand for some of the things the Republicans originally did, such as low taxes and smaller government. But the party stands for so much less right now, a monolith of bigotry, hate and misinformation. So I have about as much respect for their personnel and their ideals as I do for the KKK’s.
For the next 4 years, Republicans are going to pick on President Obama (it feels so good to type that) because:
-People like him. Who couldn’t? His teeth are whiter than Steve Martin’s pubes.
-He’s going to try different things. If the GOP hates anything, it’s change. Did you see the faces at the McCain rally? They all looked like a wheelbarrow full of baby orangutans was slayed right in front of them. I’d say they’ll move out of the country, but it’s well known there aren’t many Chic Filets in Europe.
-He’s black. Hate to bring it up, but it’s still an issue. One we’re fighting. But I’ve interpreted 90% of the negative things Republicans say about Obama as backwoods racism.
Alright, I’m sick of typing. But yeah…I just wanted to post a lil’ retort to represent my own personal beliefs re: the current situation.

“Obama has stumbled into the most dangerous kind of victory. A mandate for change but not for ideas. A mandate without clear meaning.” – Washington Post
In a culture where we’re obsessed with instant gratification and lack of understanding for what long term means…he’ll have to satiate the critics with small victories while working out 2 larger ones throughout his term.
People gots to believe we’re in a shit storm of a mess and these changes are going to take a lot of time, patience, and cooperation.
Well put Patrick. I’d also like to add that “conservatives” are right…change isn’t an idea, it’s a concept, the foundation upon which the Obama presidency will be built. His victory is an invitation to improve this country, to succeed where we’ve failed and to once again regain our status as a superpower.
To all critics: I invite you to carefully examine the presidency of one George Dubya Bush. Really look into his policies, study his words and his decisions.
I then invite you to shut the fuck up. Because if the U.S. has lacked anything over the past 8 years, it’s a solid idea or even a concept as to what roll this country should play in the future.
Vague, yes. But I’ll take vague over idiotic any day.
